General Dentistry Care

Healthy Mouth, Healthy Life

Oral health is a direct mirror of your body's overall systemic health. At Prabhat Dental Hospital, we place great emphasis on preventative care and routine checks. Through regular diagnostic screens and modern teeth cleaning (scaling & polishing), we help our patients avoid complex cavities, painful root canals, and advanced gum diseases.

Our Essential Preventative Services

Dental Checkup

1. Regular Dental Check-ups

Dentists globally recommend checking teeth every 6 months. Dr. B.L. Degra evaluates early signs of plaque deposits, soft cavities, enamel wear, and gum recession. Early identification allows simple fillings or preventive seals to intercept major issues. We support check-ups with modern Alerio Neo Portable X-Rays to review root structures instantly on-chair with minimal radiation exposure.

Teeth Cleaning Scaling

2. Dental Scaling & Polishing (Teeth Cleaning)

Even with daily brushing, hard tartar (calculus) and sticky plaque accumulate around hard-to-reach pockets, causing gum inflammation (gingivitis) and bleeding gums (pyorrhea). Our clinic uses advanced ultrasonic scaling units to gently vibration-clean tartar and surface stains from food and beverages without scraping or harming the enamel, followed by protective polishing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Does dental scaling make teeth weak or loose?
No. Scaling simply shakes off hard, bacterial tartar deposits. Tartar actually acts as a fake bridge holding teeth when bones are weakened by disease. Removing it allows gums to heal and tighten around the tooth. Scaling does not scrape or weaken the tooth structure.
How often should I get professional teeth cleaning?
Getting teeth professionally cleaned and polished every 6 to 12 months is highly recommended. It maintains fresh breath, healthy pink gums, and eliminates gum bleeding.
How safe are dental x-rays?
Extremely safe. We use high-precision digital sensors (RVG) and portable dental x-ray systems. These require up to 90% less radiation exposure than conventional old-school film x-rays and provide immediate digital screens.
